Can I dispose of an old refrigerator or window air conditioner at the landfill? |
If there is a 'purge certificate' for each appliance, from a licensed refrigeration technician, we can accept refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, room dehumidifiers and the like. |
I only have one bag of trash a week and don't have a service, is it ok if I put it with my neighbors trash? |
Using someone else's trash cans or dumpster is considered 'theft of service' and is illegal in this state. |
I don't have much waste and don't need trash service, do I? |
Only if you bring your waste to a permitted landfill, at least once every thirty (30) days and keep receipts for proof of proper disposal. That's state law. |
Why do I have to tarp loads in a pickup or utility trailer? |
Trash blown from moving vehicles is a big source of roadside litter.
It is considered 'littering' if enforcement officers stop you. |
Does the landfill accept tires? |
The landfill accepts passenger and light truck tires. Call for information on larger tires. Per-tire fees apply. |
How much does it cost to dispose of waste? |
By the household trash bag (32 gallon), $1.05 per bag.
By the ton, $69.25 per ton.
